Scott hosted guests at the 2025 “Plans at the Pitch” event — with dinner, drinks, sideline seats, and a group photo on the Sac Republic pitch.

Scott is active in the Sacramento community both professionally and philanthropically.  Professionally, he is on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Chapter of the Western Pension of Benefits Council and has served on the Planning Committee for that organization’s annual Western Benefits Conference for the past three years.  He previously served as President of the Sacramento Chapter of National Institute of Pension Administrators.  Scott regularly speaks about new developments in employee benefits at meetings and conferences.  He also served on the Board of the Sacramento County Bar Associations Tax Section from 2009 to 2011 and served as Chair during 2010-2011.

Philanthropically, Scott is very involved with nonprofit organizations and has participated in many walk/runs for good causes including: the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk, the Walk for Literacy, the Run to Feed the Hungry, and the Valentine Run, Race for Justice.  He also sponsors a team for the Folsom Break Free Run held by 3Strands Global Foundation, an organization whose mission is to combat human trafficking worldwide.  He and his wife also volunteer time to serve food to the homeless at Thanksgiving and throughout the year.

In the past, Scott volunteered as a youth baseball, basketball and flag football coach and was the manager of his church’s men’s softball team.
